Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET) was established for sharing of resources and information among the libraries by fostering a spirit of cooperation and weaving these together in a networking arrangement. The primary objective of MANLIBNET is to provide a common forum to the professionals; and to develop understanding and co-operation particularly among management and business libraries and the librarians.

MANLIBNET promotes outstanding library practices by identifying the Best Librarian from information professionals’ community and recognizes the best academic work on an annual basis. We act as teachers and consultants to each other that help us identifying issues and overcome challenges with advice and support from around the country. On professional platforms, MANLIBNET tries to put you in contact with current and future leaders in the library profession.

To achieve these broad objectives, MANLIBNET was initiated in year 1998 at the first convention held in Ahmedabad which was jointly organised by the IIM, Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad Management Association. This was followed by a series of conventions and seminars at various places including the IMT, Ghaziabad, IIM, Lucknow, IIM, Kozikhode, XLRI, Jamshedpur, NIFM, Faridabad, Nirma University, Ahmedbad, ICSSR, Mumbai & Delhi, KIIT University, Bhubaneshwar, SSIM, Secundrabad, IIHMR, Jaipur and University of Delhi South Campus.
